He’s done more in four weeks than we’ll do all semester on campus 

While we're all watching the Olympics on TV and dreaming about our would-be figure skating careers, NYU Steinhardt's very own senior Marshall Kramsky is getting in on the action up close. Kramsky is currently in Pyeongchang, helping to cover the Winter Olympics with NBC. 

Studying Media, Culture and Communications with a minor in the Business of Entertainment Media and Technology as well as Religious Studies, Kramsky applied for this experience of a lifetime about 18 months ago and underwent a series of interviews. In total, Kramsky will live in South Korea for six weeks.

After 20 years of running showcase camps, we’re continually awed and humbled by the student-athletes who we have the privilege of hosting each year. Tommy John surgery is so common in baseball these days it’s hard to remember a time without it. But Violets sophomore pitcher Marshall Kramsky, who is also a self-proclaimed baseball trivia expert, is thankful every day he can throw a ball. This past offseason, the righty was the first player in the history of the NYU varsity baseball program to have ever received the surgery.

“If this was 1973, I wouldn’t be able to play again,” Kramsky said.
